Was very surprised at how high-quality the material is; not crinkly plastic, but more like cloth. So air-tight that it took a while for all the trapped air to come out and stop making my mattress look like a balloon. Fit my 16" deep mattress perfectly. I'm using it to cut down my allergies. Seems to be helping. There were seams going down middle of both sides of the protector. I only noticed it on one side for some reason when I first put it on. One seem stared separating just a few moths after getting it. When I purchased it I had no idea that any mattress protectors have seems going down the middle of the lying surface and there was no indication of it in the product descriptions. I had never seen seem on mattress protectors anywhere else than on the side surfaces. It almost makes it worthless in my opinion. H) - Queen Size (Kitchen) I've put three weeks on this encasement and would recommend with a proper disclosure. I purchased with the intent to keep a new mattress in the best condition possible. I found this product to have a great build quality as the zipper pulled smoothly where as other brands seem to get knocked for their zipper quality. I did find this encasement to create a warmer sleeping environment, but not enough to make it un-sleepable. It does also slightly change the feel of my mattress, as it is only 14" deep, which leaves a little slack in the encasement that will free up even when the extra material is tucked underneath the mattress. That being said, there's only so many sizes that make sense for a company to manufacture, so I don't feel like that should go against SafeRest. This review is from: Bed Bug Cover Mattress or Box Spring Encasement Twin Size 39 X 75 X 9 Bed Bug Cover We have used other bed bug mattress products before and let me point out a few things about bed bug covers. 1) You have to make sure you are getting the right size 2) Make sure its woven or similar or you will hear rustling when you move and you will sweat like your on a plastic bag 3) Its best to get them before you get hit with the bugs as they can actually help you not get an infestation. These covers are very breathable and are made out of a woven material so you don't feel like you are sleeping on a plastic bag. These covers are NOT water proof (there are ones that are but they cost plenty more) they are water resistant and you wont even realize that you have them on. When putting it on make sure that you stand the mattress up and pull the cover down over the top like a shirt going over your head not from the bottom up like a pair of pants. I made that mistake with a different brand and while it didn't rip it definitely puts stress on... Other covers I ordered felt like I was sleeping on a plastic bag. The Bed-De-Bug covers say that the are "Woven for comfort" and its true! They are breathable yet still bed bug proof. Bed bug covers can help prevent you from getting bed bugs as bed bugs like to sleep as close to their food (that's us!)as they can. If they cant get into your mattress Because of a bed bug proof mattress cover they will likely go into your linen and bedding instead. As most people wash their linen and bedding every 2-6 weeks. The wash will kill them before they have a chance to populate.
