Was very surprised at how high-quality the material is; not crinkly plastic, but more like cloth. So air-tight that it took a while for all the trapped air to come out and stop making my mattress look like a balloon. Fit my 16" deep mattress perfectly. I'm using it to cut down my allergies. There were seams going down middle of both sides of the protector. I only noticed it on one side for some reason when I first put it on. One seem stared separating just a few moths after getting it. When I purchased it I had no idea that any mattress protectors have seems going down the middle of the lying surface and there was no indication of it in the product descriptions. I had never seen seem on mattress protectors anywhere else than on the side surfaces.
